The Middle Atlas Mountains is an authentic region that can be accessed from either, Fez or Marrakech. Unlike the High Atlas, the middle Atlas remains less visited by the tourists. However it offers a lot of touristic potential such as heavily forested slopes and gentler relief with beautiful walking country, a number of interesting Berber towns and villages to visit. To sum up, this area deserves really your detour.
7:00 am: Pick up from your hotel in Fez & departure to Azrou through the beautiful city of Ifrane. Visit of the latter and some free time to have a hot cup of coffee. Continue to discover Azrou, which is a Berber village built at an altitude of 1250 m with houses of the Berber tribes, the original inhabitants of Morocco. Watch the Berber men with their sheep herds, grinding flour or practicing their trades. Visit the most preserved forest of cedars of Morocco, where you can see Barbary apes leaping tall prickly branches. Along the way cedar forests, you might even spot the gray swoons Atlas or boar.
Continue to Khénifra
where you will have some time to lunch (Own Expenses)
In the Afternoon visit of Khénifra countryside, places to visit are the Aguelmame Lake which is the biggest lake in all North Africa and Oum Rabie River springs.
Return to Fez via Aïn Louh village.
7:00 pm: Drop off in your hotel in Fez
